What's the difference between Affiliate and Strategic Partner?
Affiliates earn commissions by sharing referral links -- it's a simple referral relationship with no approval needed. Strategic Partners have a deeper relationship including sandbox access, co-branding, directory listing, and the ability to deliver implementation/consulting services.
How are commissions tracked?
We use FirstPromoter for affiliate tracking. When someone clicks your referral link, a 60-day cookie is set. If they sign up and subscribe within that window, you earn commission automatically.
How are commissions calculated for annual subscriptions?
Commissions are calculated based on the monthly plan value, regardless of billing frequency. If a referred client subscribes to the $99/month Essential plan annually, your commission is calculated as 40% of $99 (first month equivalent) plus 20% of $99 for months 2-12 -- not 40% of the full annual payment. This ensures fair, consistent earnings regardless of how the client chooses to pay.
How and when do I get paid?
Affiliate commissions are paid monthly via PayPal through FirstPromoter once you reach the minimum threshold. Strategic Partner terms are negotiated individually.
What's the approval process for Strategic Partners?
Submit your application and our partnerships team will review it within 1-3 business days. We look for established businesses with relevant industry experience and an active client base.
Can I be both an Affiliate and a Strategic Partner?
Yes! Many partners start as affiliates and upgrade to strategic partnership as the relationship grows. Your affiliate earnings continue while your partner application is reviewed.
