Entity Setup Walkthrough

Setting up your first entity in Vulu Vault is the foundation of your compliance management system. This guide walks you through each step to ensure your entity is properly configured from day one.

Step 1: Create Your Entity

From the platform dashboard, navigate to Entities and click Add Entity. You'll need to provide:

• Entity Name: The legal name of your business entity
• Entity Type: LLC, Corporation, Partnership, etc.
• Jurisdiction: The state or country where the entity is registered
• Registration Number: Your official business registration ID

Step 2: Configure Compliance Requirements

Once your entity is created, you'll be prompted to configure compliance requirements. Vulu Vault's intelligent setup wizard will suggest applicable requirements based on your entity type and jurisdiction.

You can select from pre-built compliance templates or create custom requirements tailored to your specific needs. Each requirement can have:

• Recurring schedules (annual, quarterly, monthly)
• Document requirements
• Approval workflows
• Reminder notifications

Step 3: Set Up Users and Roles

Invite your team members and assign appropriate roles. Vulu Vault supports granular role-based access control:

• Admin: Full access to entity settings and all features
• Compliance Manager: Manage compliance tasks and documents
• Contributor: Upload documents and complete assigned tasks
• Viewer: Read-only access to compliance information

Step 4: Configure Notifications

Set up email and in-app notifications for:

• Upcoming deadlines
